We are open for submissions!
We at the morbid forest love all things horror. But what we also love is giving another platform to writers to showcase their sinister tales. We are all about inducing a nightmare for our listeners so do your worst! We are interested in a broad range of horror and all its subgenres and we encourage you to bring us your weird, your folk, you sci-fi thriller mind melt, your creepy crawly, and your blood drenched tales!
Below you'll find our guidelines for submission. Please keep in mind, we are a team of two currently, so response times may vary. However, we aim to reply to everyone who sends an inquiry.

Word count preferred between 3500 and 7500. Stories over or under may still be considered, but must be of exceptional quality for consideration.

Feel free to introduce yourself! We enjoy have a close relationship with all our contributors.

We do not have formatting restrictions, however please don't go crazy with format, color, design, or blood ink. ​

Multiple story submissions by the same author are welcome, but please only submit one story at a time. ​

Stories can appear elsewhere, so long as you hold the rights to your story for usage on The Morbid Forest and any exclusivity contracts are completed.

ANYTHING written by ChatGPT or any other AI software. Stories about robots and skynet are all well and good, but we don't want anything written by the cyborgs

Authors retain full rights to any story/script performed on the Morbid Forest Podcast.
Morbid Forest does not retain the rights to publish or distribute your story outside of the audio performance agreed upon without express written consent from the author. Audio production remains the right of the Morbid forest and may not be sold or disturbed outside of Morbid Forest Production. distributed.
